On 27th June 2021, farms all over the country will open their gates (both virtually and in person) for LEAF Open Farm Sunday 2021. As the farming industry’s annual open day, it offers a fantastic chance for people to discover real farming at first hand and see for themselves how their food (and much more besides) is produced.

This year Open Farm Sunday at Hundred River Farm will be split into two smaller sessions and focused on learning about wheat, grass and cereal crops; it will include a farm walk, animal feeding and animal handling. Our farm has pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, lambs, guinea pigs and barn owls.

Sessions will run from 9:30-12:30 and then be repeated from 14:00-17:00 with each group size limited to 30. Our activities are tailored toward younger children but all ages are welcome.

Can’t make it? Don’t worry your little ones can help us feed the animals, explore and learn together every Tuesday at our Magic Garden Mornings and Natural Wonders Afternoons throughout the year - kicking off from 9:30am.
